Academy profession degree
Our academy profession degree programmes are all tailored for the world of business and industry. They are thus developed in close cooperation with companies and businesses.
An academy profession degree programme is a higher education programme which lasts two years, spans four semesters and adds up to 120 ECTS points.
The AP degree in Computer Science, however, lasts two and a half years and yields a total of 150 ECTS points.

Automation Engineering at EK trains students to program machines and automated systems for industries such as pharmaceuticals and food production. Over two years (120 ECTS), students develop skills in programming various systems, including robots, production lines, and industrial machinery.
The curriculum covers programming languages like PLC Ladder and Python, process regulation, and robot technology. Additionally, students gain project management and business acumen to manage automation projects effectively.
Practical experience is emphasized through a 10-week internship and a final project with a company, ensuring graduates are well-prepared for the automation industry.

The Laboratory Technician programme at EK is a 2½-year programme (150 ECTS) combining theory with extensive hands-on laboratory training. Students spend 1½ years in study followed by a full year of paid internship in a company or research institution.
The curriculum covers chemistry, biotechnology, microbiology, genetics, protein purification, pharmaceutical production, laboratory techniques, quality assurance, and workplace safety.

Commerce Management at EK is a 2-year programme (120 ECTS) focusing on sales, procurement, customer relations, e-commerce, marketing, and retail management. Students gain insight into business processes, supply chains, market trends, and customer experience in both physical and digital contexts.
A key element of the programme is an 8-month full-time paid internship in Denmark or abroad during the 3rd and 4th semesters. This gives students valuable experience and often leads to employment after graduation.

EK's Cyber Security program is a two-year academy profession degree that provides hands-on training in IT security operations, threat analysis, and risk management. The programme offers three specialisations: Sustainable Fashion Tech, Fashion Management, and Marketing & Communication Design, where students deepen their expertise through hands-on projects and collaborations with companies.

Fashion Management
Students learn to manage the full lifecycle of fashion collections—from sourcing and production to bringing products to market—with a strong focus on sustainability. In the 4th semester, the students specialise in one of the following areas:

- Omni-channel Performance Planner: Emphasis on sales, e-commerce, and cross-channel strategy.
Marketing & Communication Design
Focuses on understanding consumer behavior and turning insights into creative marketing concepts and communication strategies. In the 4th semester, the students specialise in one of the following areas:
- Brand Building: Develop strong brand identities, communities, and storytelling across platforms.
- Retail Design: Design digital and physical customer experiences, with emphasis on sustainability and service design.
Sustainable Fashion Tech
Combines sustainable fashion design with cutting-edge technology. Students explore digital tools and circular thinking to shape the future of fashion. In the 4th semester, the students specialise in one of the following areas:
- Tech Design: Work with 3D software (CLO, Vizoo), fit, and functional design through a tech-focused lens.
- Circular Design: Emphasizes sustainable and circular design processes using Design Thinking and Design for Circularity methods.
Electrical Service Engineering at EK equips students with the skills needed to become electrical engineers, project managers, or independent contractors in the electrical and technical fields. Over two years (120 ECTS), students learn to design and manage electrical installations in residential and industrial settings, ensuring safety and energy efficiency.
Key areas of study include electrical systems, project management, business operations, and technical documentation.
The programme also prepares students for the national electrician authorization exam. A 10-week internship and a final project allow students to gain practical experience and specialize in their desired area within the industry.

In the final semester, students complete a full-time internship in Denmark or abroad, applying their skills in companies such as engineering consultancies, laboratories, utilities, municipalities, or production firms.

Entrepreneurship and Design at EK equips students with the skills to create innovative, design-driven business solutions. Over two years (120 ECTS), students learn through hands-on collaboration with companies, focusing on design processes, business models, and cultural trends.
The curriculum covers product development, business economics, marketing, leadership, and communication. In the third semester, students choose electives or study abroad, while the fourth semester involves a practical internship where they apply their skills in real-world settings.

The Financial Controller programme at EK is a 2-year programme (120 ECTS) that provides students with skills in finance, accounting, and auditing. Students learn to work with budgeting, payroll, reporting, auditing, and business analysis relevant to both private companies and public institutions.
The curriculum combines financial management with practical tools for bookkeeping, tax and VAT reporting, annual accounts, liquidity management, and financial reporting.
A 3-month full-time internship in Denmark or abroad gives students the opportunity to apply their knowledge in practice, and many continue into employment with their host company after graduation.

Production Technology at EK equips students with skills in product development, design, and manufacturing, with a focus on sustainable solutions. Service, Hospitality and Tourism Management at EK is a 2-year programme (120 ECTS) focusing on service design, customer experience, event planning, and tourism management. Students gain skills in creating guest experiences, developing business understanding, and managing service- and event-driven projects.
A 3-month full-time internship in Denmark or abroad allows students to gain practical experience in hotels, event organizations, travel agencies, museums, restaurants, tourism boards, and customer service departments.

Service Engineering at EK is a two-year course (120 ECTS) that prepares students to become leaders, advisors, or independent contractors in the plumbing and technical sectors. Students gain expertise in sanitary systems, heating, gas, indoor climate technology, automation, and controls.
The curriculum includes both technical elements, such as project management, technical documentation, and installation design, as well as business management skills like leadership, organization, and quality control.
Practical experience is gained through a 10-week internship, and the program culminates in a final project focused on plumbing system design or specialization in a chosen area.

Surveying and Mapping at EK is a two-year course (120 ECTS) focused on teaching students to handle geographical data for surveying and mapping projects. Students learn core technical skills such as surveying, parceling, setting out, and processing geographical data using tools like GIS and geodatabases.
The program covers project management, legal frameworks, and quality assurance. With specializations in either Land Surveying or Mapping, students gain practical experience through a 10-week internship in a relevant company.

Top-up (Bachelor degree)
A top-up degree allows students to top up an academy profession degree and takes only one and a half years to complete.
Just like our AP degree programmes, our top-up programmes are aimed at the business community. The programmes are developed in cooperation with companies and businesses to ensure that you are equipped for a job in the best possible way after graduation.
A top-up degree programme takes one and a half years, spans three semesters and adds up to 90 ECTS points.

Data Analysis at EK is a 1½-year professional bachelor’s degree (90 ECTS) focusing on data science, machine learning, business intelligence, and digital business development. Students learn to combine analytical skills with business understanding to transform data into insights and decisions.
A 12-week full-time internship in the 3rd semester provides hands-on experience with real-world data challenges such as business analysis, predictive modelling, visualization, or decision support. The internship often forms the basis of the bachelor project.
Graduates are prepared for roles as data analysts, business analysts, BI consultants, or data specialists across industries such as finance, IT, HR, logistics, and public administration.

Design & Business top-up at EK spans 1.5 years (90 ECTS) and focuses on integrating design, business, and technology across industries such as fashion, lifestyle, and communication.
Students learn to manage complex analytical and creative tasks through a combination of theory and practical experience, including close collaboration with businesses on concept and product development.
The programme offers three specialisations: Sustainable Fashion Tech, Fashion Management, and Creative Branding. Students also complete a 10-week internship to gain practical industry experience, followed by a final bachelor project.

Web Development teaches students to design and build web applications of all sizes. Students work creatively with coding and real-world projects, improving their programming skills to a professional level. Upon graduation, they typically work in a development department or as web application developers in consulting or software companies.
Web development is a 1.5-year top-up degree (90 ECTS), includes courses in web development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and backend languages, database design (relational and NoSQL), user experience, and development environments.
Students also specialise through electives like Web Security, AI, or specific tech stacks. A 10-week internship allows students to apply their skills in a real-world setting, and the program culminates in a final project, often in collaboration with a company, demonstrating strategic and technical problem-solving.

Bachelor degree
Our bachelor degree programmes have all been developed in collaboration with the business community so that our students, once graduated, will be fully equipped to meet the demands and challenges of the companies.
A full bachelor degree programme lasts three and a half years, spans seven semesters and ads up to 210 ECTS points.

Architectural Technology & Construction Management at EK equips students with the skills to manage and coordinate construction projects from design to completion. Over seven semesters (210 ECTS), students learn about residential, commercial, and prefabrication construction, focusing on areas like project planning, technical drawings, material selection, and quality control.
The programme includes courses on construction law, project management, and digital tools such as BIM. Students can specialize through electives and gain practical experience during a 6th-semester internship.
The program culminates in a bachelor’s project that integrates theoretical knowledge with real-world construction challenges.
Business Economics & IT at EK equips students with a comprehensive understanding of how business and IT intersect. Over 7 semesters (210 ECTS), students learn to analyze, design, and develop IT solutions that optimize business processes.
The curriculum covers business economics, process optimization, IT systems design, data management, and digital transformation. Students work on real-world business cases, enhancing their problem-solving skills. Specialization options include economic or IT-focused electives.
A fifth-semester internship provides practical experience, preparing students for careers in digital business development, system development, project management, or consultancy.
EK's Cybersecurity program is a practice-oriented bachelor’s degree designed to equip IT professionals with the skills to identify, prevent, and respond to cyber threats. The program covers network security, risk management, cryptography, and secure software development, ensuring graduates can strengthen digital defenses in organizations.
Students gain hands-on experience with incident response, penetration testing, and security architecture, making them valuable assets in today’s rapidly evolving threat landscape. A five-month full-time internship in the 5th semester gives students the opportunity to work with real business cases in areas such as financial advising, analysis, real estate, pensions, or insurance solutions. IT Architecture at KEA prepares students to design and build complex IT systems that serve both businesses and users. Over 3½ years (210 ECTS), students learn to approach IT with a holistic mindset, focusing on programming, system design, user engagement, data management, and the latest industry trends.
The curriculum is divided into three key areas: business architecture (IT’s role in supporting and developing businesses), information systems architecture (software development and system integration), and technological architecture (data modeling and cloud-based systems).
Students also gain hands-on experience through a company internship and specialisation opportunities.

Jewellery, Technology & Business at EK trains students in the entire process from jewellery concept to sale, focusing on design, production, marketing, and sustainability. Over 3½ years (210 ECTS), students gain interdisciplinary skills in design thinking, material knowledge, and market analysis.
The curriculum covers jewellery production using modern technologies like 3D modelling (Rhinoceros) and Adobe software, as well as branding and international marketing. Students engage in both theoretical and practical learning, developing innovative solutions for the future jewellery industry.
A semester-long internship provides real-world experience, and the program concludes with a bachelor’s project.
Optometry at EK equips students to become licensed optometrists, combining theoretical knowledge with practical skills. Over 7 semesters (210 ECTS), students learn about eye health, visual correction, and patient care, focusing on areas such as refraction, ocular diseases, contact lenses, and visual system anatomy.
The curriculum includes subjects like mathematics, chemistry, anatomy, optics, and ocular pharmacology.
Students gain hands-on experience through internships, comprising 18 months of their studies, where they apply their skills in eye exams, lens fittings, and customer service in optometry clinics. The programme emphasizes both clinical expertise and retail knowledge.

Value Chain Management at EK is a 3½-year professional bachelor’s degree (210 ECTS) focusing on business development, process optimization, sustainability, and digitalization. Students learn to manage and optimize the entire value chain from production and procurement to logistics and supply chain management.
A 20-week full-time internship in Denmark or abroad gives students the opportunity to work with purchasing, supply chain analysis, logistics, or process improvement.
Graduates are prepared for careers as project managers, supply chain managers, procurement managers, business consultants, or logistics coordinators in both private and public organizations.
