Our mission

Business Academy Copenhagen helps companies investigate the challenges they face and the areas in which they wish to develop knowledge.

This could include anything from the use of artificial intelligence and sustainable construction to deceptive design.

We focus on communicating research results directly to the business sector and society and on developing our study programmes to ensure that students gain the skills demanded by the labour market.

As long as a research project relates to technology, sustainability, management, or business, we’re interested.

We collaborate with researchers, companies, and organisations—both in Denmark and internationally. The goal is always to explore a field, identify useful knowledge, and discover new and relevant applications for it.

Research integrity at EK

We believe that education closely linked to industry creates academically strong students who understand the challenges and opportunities of working life from day one. That’s why we consider it our core task to ensure our study programmes are up to date with the latest knowledge and current challenges faced by the industry—both now and in the future.

At EK, we conduct research within our six academic areas - the construction and design, digital, financial, and technical and mercantile fields. Through our research, we aim to ensure that teaching remains relevant and inspiring—for both students and society. Our goal is to produce research-based, reliable, and relevant knowledge, enabling businesses to make informed decisions in the near future—especially within the areas of social design, responsible technology, and organisational and institutional change.

This means that research at EK is guided by three core principles: honesty, transparency, and accountability, which also align with the national code of conduct for research integrity.

The cornerstones of the research work

The three overarching principles

Honesty
01

To us, this means reliability in data collection and analysis, integrity in the communication of results, and openness about research decisions and methods.

Transparency
02

We are committed to transparency in the research process, the scope of our conclusions, and to making our results accessible and relevant for industries and professions.

Accountability
03

We take responsibility for the relationships we enter and the research we conduct.

We strive to be a reliable partner and to create value for the industries we educate for.
